Reproduction is the process by which organisms make more organisms like themselves. But even though the reproductive system is essential to keeping a species alive, unlike other body systems, it's not essential to keeping an individual alive. In the human reproductive process, two kinds of sex cells, or gametes GAH-meetz , are involved. The male gamete, or sperm, and the female gamete, the egg or ovum, meet in the female's reproductive system. When sperm fertilizes meets an egg, this fertilized egg is called a zygote pronounced: ZYE-goat. The zygote goes through a process of becoming an embryo and developing into a fetus. The male reproductive system and the female reproductive system both are needed for reproduction. Humans, like other organisms, pass some characteristics of themselves to the next generation.

Exposing Nudity Double Standards in 'The Sessions'
There are, of course, nude statues of Greek and Roman women, usually standing in a three point pose — a bent knee, a curved hip, a tilted shoulder to accentuate the form. One has a hand over a breast to communicate modesty; her hoohah is smooth. In fact, all the hoohahs are smooth: there are but modest dents around the pelvic bones of the statues, but no openings or slight separations of the pelvic mounds to be found anywhere. The forms are all Barbie-doll blank down there, like female bodies just sprung out the head of Zeus, fully formed, sometimes clothed and vulvaless. Meanwhile, the male statues rock out with their cocks out; dicks are everywhere. Penises of all sizes surround me: curled and flaccid, pert and alert, balls dropped and shrunken. I wandered around, looking closely at all of the female nude statues and fragments. There are no vulvas, no protruding labia, anywhere.
Naked is normal Last October, Playboy announced that it was going to rid itself of its most prevalent, and seemingly valuable, feature: the nudes. But Forbes , who hailed the change for… changing, suggested that the business no longer favored so much skin. Naked is normal, if norms exist! Flipping through the issue, I see breasts and butts, but no vaginas; no pubes; no labia. The centerfold shot is of a woman holding a giant leaf over her crotch. Is there a joke? Is Playboy self-aware? Penthouse was a little horrifying, a little too medically accurate and graphic: Playboy or better yet, Playgirl gasp was the goods. Not too challenging, but an educational, titillating representation of what any girl could expect from womanhood.
